The Women's Health Compendium

Building the First-of-Its-Kind Resource Mapping Products, Diagnostics, and Treatments Researched in Women

What is the Women’s Health Compendium?

The Women’s Health Compendium is a developing resource designed to track health products, diagnostics, treatments, and interventions — with a clear focus on whether they have been researched and validated in women.

We are currently building the proof of concept (POC) — starting with cardiovascular health — to demonstrate the compendium’s value in identifying gaps, surfacing solutions, and guiding better healthcare decisions.

Why is This Compendium Needed?

Women continue to face delayed diagnoses, misdiagnoses, and treatments based on research that did not account for sex-based differences.

Many medications, devices, and diagnostics were developed based on male bodies.
✅ Women face higher risks of adverse drug reactions and missed diagnoses.
✅ Clinicians, patients, and investors lack easy access to information on which products truly work for women.

The Compendium aims to solve this by making the invisible visible — creating a resource that shines a light on what’s designed for women and where the gaps remain.

What Will the Compendium Do?

Once complete, the Women’s Health Compendium will:

  • Catalog products, diagnostics, and treatments with clear indicators of research completed in women

  • Identify where sex-based data is lacking — creating a roadmap for research, funding, and product development

  • Help clinicians, researchers, and investors make better-informed decisions

  • Serve as a tool for advocacy, education, and innovation in women’s health
